Swim with the Dolphins
One of the most memorable experiences Los Cabos offers is swimming with dolphins. Certified Humane Conservations, these places also allow you to swim in the pool with the affable mammals where you can interact and play, taking part in fin rides, fin shakes and friendly hugs. On select tours, part of the proceeds of the dolphin experience go to charity organizations, such as rehabilitation centers that promote protection, conservation and quality of life for the mammals. At the close of any dolphin tour, you not only will have played with the fun-loving creatures, but you will come out with an appreciation and understanding of their habitats and lives.
Jet Ski Rentals
Jet skiing is one of the most exhilarating ways to get to see Los Cabos. Cruise up to 45 mph across the flat waters of Cabo San Lucas Bay while exploring El Arco and Lovers Beach on a daytime jaunt. Bustling Medano Beach is the hub of waterborne entertainment, with jet skis and wave runners rented all along the beach by independent outfitters, beach clubs, resorts, and even restaurants. If you are all about fast and furious tours, stop by Medano Beach to pick up your ride.
Surf
Known as a major surfing destination, the beaches of San José del Cabo are lined with proper spots to catch the wave of a lifetime. Surf breaks can accommodate any level, from beginner waves at Acapulquito to the more challenging breaks at Monuments Beach. At Cerritos, a surf school offers lessons to get beginners on a board and help those with a little experience learn the tricks of the trade. Prime season for paddling out is during the winter months when the swells pump on the shore. Check a local surf map to set your own schedule and camp out with a few friends to chase the swells.
Sportfishing
Sportfishing is a world-class pursuit in Los Cabos waters. Anglers from around the world come to chase after pelagic species such as blue marlin, striped marlin, dorado and roosterfish. The best season for each species can be researched through a fishing calendar or local report. Deep-sea fishing charters equipped with all the tackle you need are available for a fishing trip during your vacation. Many resorts will include packages to set up your outing. Hardcore fishermen gravitate toward the many tournaments held in Los Cabos, including the Bisbee’s Black and Blue in October and the Los Cabos Billfish Tournament, also in October.
Sunset Cruise
The Cabo San Lucas Sunset Cruise was tailored to meet both excitement and comfort in one memorable sailing experience. While some prefer exhilarating sailing, others feel more secure with a smooth ride and calm waters. Your captain will listen to your preferences and sail the boat the way you feel most comfortable.

They’ll offer advice on what to wear to be comfortable at 600 feet in the air and guide you on what to expect on these unique tours. Get a 360-degree perspective of stunning landscapes and iconic landmarks like El Arco, Lovers Beach and the Baja California Peninsula. Take it up a level and try parasailing.
Whale Watching
Whale watching off the Los Cabos shores is glorious, as the gentle giants can be found in impressive numbers all along the coast. The best time to observe them is during their seasonal migration to the nutrient-rich waters off Alaska from December through April. During the season, charters run tours to the migratory grounds with a variety of boats. You may find yourself on a wide, comfortable catamaran or a tony yacht, seeing pods of gray and humpback whales frolicking and spouting about with their young. Not to be confused with the whales, this region is also where you can see whale sharks, the largest fish in the sea. Their migration to local waters takes place between October and February. Book your trips early, as tours tend to fill up quickly.
Snorkeling in Santa Maria or Chileno Bay
Due to its immeasurable beauty and incredible diversity of marine life, snorkeling is a very popular activity in Los Cabos. Some of the best spots can be found right off the beaches along the Tourist Corridor, including two Blue Flag beaches – Chileno Bay and Santa Maria Beach where sheltered coves provide calm waters ideal for snorkeling. Cruise the waters on a daylong excursion that includes snorkeling and other water-based activities or look for one of the many outfitters that organize trips to prolific spots where you might even get to swim with whale sharks.
Marina Cabo San Lucas
The award-winning marina is the starting point for any number of fun Cabo adventures and activities, from whale watching and snorkeling to sunset cruises on glass bottom boats.
Glass Bottom Boat and Medano Beach
Feel the adrenaline of flying over the Cabo San Lucas Bay! The 45 minutes’ activity takes you on a trip over the sea to discover the majestic beauty of the “Land’s End”. From the heights, you will spot great perspectives of the rock formations, the marina, the city and the natural wildlife.
Flyboard
Wet and wild, flyboarding is the new water sport craze in Los Cabos. For those not familiar, participants strap jet boots to a hydro board as water is pushed out through tubes, creating enough water pressure to send you flying into the air. As you hover, you are in essence standing above the water’s surface. No experience is necessary to try it out, but a little courage and a good deal of balance is most definitely in order. Fun and exhilarating, you will definitely feel a bit of an adrenaline rush. Many tour operators now include it in their menu of water sports offerings.
Kayaking & Paddleboarding
One of the most natural ways to explore Los Cabos’ waters is via stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) or kayaking. Most operators can organize a tour with each paddleboard or kayak rental to the protected coves and serene waters of Chileno Bay, Santa Maria Bay and Lovers Beach. As the approach is usually silent via kayak or paddleboard, it is easier not to startle wildlife in its natural habitat. As you paddle, you can come near sea lions, sea birds, dolphins or even a whale when the season is right. Be sure to check the wind conditions before you set out and remember to put on the reef-friendly sunscreen.
Cabo Sky Tours
Live the best Cabo adventure flying in our powered hang glider. Cabo Sky Tours offers you the best sky ride ever!
The Arch at Cabo San Lucas
El Arco (The Arch) is perhaps Cabo San Lucas’ most well-known natural landmark. Located at the tip of the peninsula, it’s a popular tourist attraction, and one you shouldn’t miss while you’re here.
